El d\u00eda de la Resistencia Rromani es todos los d\u00edas<\/a> (fragmento)<\/h4>\n

La historia es la siguiente. El 16 de mayo del a\u00f1o 1944, 6.000 Rromanies internados en Auschwitz Birkenau, entre los que se contaban hombres, mujeres, ni\u00f1os y ancianos, se alzaron valientemente contra las fuerzas de las SS para evitar su genocidio. Ese mismo d\u00eda conocieron la noticia de que ser\u00edan gaseados y exterminados por la noche. A pesar de la evidente falta de energ\u00eda a causa de la desnutrici\u00f3n, el hambre y la humillaci\u00f3n a la que eran sometidas desde su internamiento; a pesar de no contar con armas sofisticadas con las que poder hacer frente a la superioridad num\u00e9rica y armament\u00edstica de sus verdugos, aquellas familias se enfrentaron juntas al ej\u00e9rcito nazi con palos, piedras, u\u00f1as y dientes. Tal fue la fortaleza y la fiereza con la que estos seres humanos se resistieron a su masacre que los nazis no pudieron llevar a cabo su plan hasta 3 meses despu\u00e9s, durante el fat\u00eddico 2 de Agosto de 1944.<\/p>\n

To be a Rroma in a world which is hostile to our difference is an act of resistance. To name oneself as such, knowing that this will have a price, is an act of resistance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Learning Rromani language, when we have been dispossessed of our language through pragmatics and laws, is an act of resistance. Treating ourselves with respect, brotherhood and love, taking care of our elderly when the strategy of integration of the power forces has been – and is – to sow discord, envy and competition among us, is an act of resistance.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why we must remind the world and ourselves that there are many May 16ths and that Rroma Resistance Day is every day and in any place in the world where there is a Rroma person or family who resists and fights without giving in to the will of those who seek to humiliate them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The day of the Rromani Resistance is every day<\/a> (fragment)<\/h4>\n

The historical account is as follows<\/span><\/span>. On May 16, 1944, 6,000 Rromanies interned at Auschwitz Birkenau, including men, women, children and the elderly, bravely rose up against the SS forces to prevent their genocide. That same day they heard the news that they would be gassed and exterminated at night.
